The world saw a man trying to take humanity to Mars. FILE X suggests the opposite: he may have been trying to get home.
To survive Earth, he had to remain hidden. To leave Earth, he had to be recognized.
That contradiction is the heart of FILE X. Recognition cannot be self-declared. It has to come from outside Alien X himself.
Humanity interpreted decades of rockets, launch systems, reusable boosters, engines, heat shields and spacecraft development as one man's attempt to push civilization outward.
FILE X offers a more personal explanation. SpaceX was the road. Starship was the vehicle. Mars was home.
One fragment survives intact inside the recovered material: RETURN CONDITION: RECOGNITION.
Alien X cannot simply declare his identity and call that proof. The acknowledgment must come from another intelligent civilization. Humanity becomes important because we can provide the one thing he cannot manufacture for himself.
Every independent participant who recognizes Alien X becomes another human acknowledgment: I recognize Alien X.
The acknowledgment can be recorded publicly so recognition does not depend on Alien X, one company, or one private database.
Recognition identifies Alien X. SPCX represents the connection between that recognition and the infrastructure built for his return.
Humanity provides the recognition. Starship Flight 15 provides the moment to send it home.
The Recognition Signal does not cause the launch, control Starship, or imply Alien X is aboard. FILE X simply designates Flight 15 as the transmission opportunity. At liftoff, the recognition accumulated on Earth is treated as transmitted toward Mars.
FILE X does not tell us who or what waits on the other side. It gives no detailed Martian society, no known acknowledgment protocol and no guaranteed response.
Humanity can create the recognition. Humanity can send the message. Humanity cannot force the answer.
The signal has been sent. The Receivers remain unknown. No return can begin unless the Recognition Signal is accepted.
